Available types

  • Elastomeric joints: for small and medium movements (up to ±160 mm per element), with fast installation and easy maintenance.
  • Modular joints: multi-element joints for large movements on long-span bridges.
  • Finger / comb joints: for high-speed motorways where low rolling noise is required.
  • Buried joints: beneath asphalt layers for small movements on minor structures.

Complete installation service

EKKAF, in exclusive partnership with AGOM, handles joint sizing based on the movement envelope of the design, supply with full certificates, installation by specialised crews (asphalt cutting, anchoring, special mortar pouring, waterproofing), and maintenance or replacement of existing joints under traffic with staged execution.

Joint selection criteria

  • Total movement range (thermal + rheological + seismic).
  • Traffic category and loading (road, railway, footbridges).
  • Watertightness and deck drainage requirements.
  • Traffic noise in residential areas.
